About

Captain Sir Thomas Moore received worldwide acclaim last year when his charity walk captured the hearts of the nation, and indeed the world.

Following a hip injury, Captain Tom began to walk laps of his garden to aid his recovery.  His son-in-law joked that they would donate £1 per lap and so sparked the idea that Tom’s walk could help fundraise for the NHS, whom Tom held in such high regard.

The initial plan was for Tom to do 100 laps before his 100th birthday on 30th April and try to raise £1,000.

Word spread locally, nationally and then internationally and in just a few weeks £38.9 million was donated from 163 different countries.

In less than a year, Tom’s fundraising endeavour resulted in many recognitions including two Guinness World Records, global awards, book publications and a knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen.

Tom, the eternal optimist, passed away in February 2021 and although not with us in person his spirit lives on:

“We will get through it in the end, it might take time, but at the end of the day we shall all be OK again… the sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away.”

Following requests for official Captain Tom products, this online shop has been created, with the blessing of his family, to collate all official products, offering an easy one stop shop for Captain Tom’s supporters. A number of the products directly support The Captain Tom Foundation, set up to ensure his message of hope becomes a lasting legacy.
